Who is "Conservative"?

Conservatism means different things to different people. It may mean something different to me than to someone in Germany. So how do I determine which political parties meet the standard? Lucky for me (and you), the world's conservative parties have formed the International Democrat Union (IDU), a network of parties that lets us know who is on the "right " side.

If your party is an IDU member, then I consider you an ally. Our parties may be very different, but chances are we probably share at least some commitment to free market capitalism and keeping government out of private life. We may differ on abortion, the United Nations, or any number of other issues; but when you boil it all down we're all on the same side.
